5:30 Tuesday, August 19

Microsoft Technology Center - 200 E Randolph St, Chicago, IL 60601

Master data management and data quality are deeply intertwined.  The process of data quality remediation is integral to producing accurate master data that adheres to defined business rules and that has been certified for a specific use and purpose.  To that end, data quality and master data management tools should provide a unified platform that allows communication between the tools.  Microsoft’s MDS (Master Data Services) and DQS (Data Quality Services) is one such platform.   Combined with Excel, MDS and DQS provide a mechanism for the distributed management of master data and data quality remediation.

Ray Johnson, Director of Data Management at MPS Partners, will review and provide practical applications using the current versions of DQS and MDS.  Ray will cover the recent significant changes such as MDS’s data staging, import/export, and enhanced Excel integration as well as DQS’s enhanced integration with Excel and MDS.
